For the second year running, the Red Bull Air Race is coming to East London, so there will be aircraft whizzing madly up and down the River Thames just in front the O2 next weekend. A friend of mine has front row seats as his Office is based at Trinity Buoy Wharf which is on the river just opposite the 02. TBW is well worth a look if you get the chance. Not only is it the home of London’s only Lighthouse, but it also features and excellent all American Diner.

Nikon D700 Digital SLR Camera
With all the fuss about Nikon’s new D700 Digital SLR Camera is seems to be a squashed up D3 and then squeezed into a case roughly the same size as a D300, I decided to build a new WordPress blog based on Nikons new camera.
The D700 is Nikon’s first ‘compact’ professional standard SLR. I’m sure it will be up against Canon’s replacement for the EOS 5D.
Imaging wise, the D700 is pretty much the same as the D3, sharing the 12.1MP full frame (’FX’) sensor and processing engine. The main differences apart from physical are a different shutter which is good for 150,000 exposures and a different viewfinder prism and a slower burst rate.

Andrew Hanson’s new WordPress Blogging Automation Tool will be pretty amazing if it does what it says on the tin and will be a boon to those struggling to manage a farm of niche WordPress Blogs. Not only does Firepow build the blog’s but it also promotes and helps generate the traffic as well. Anyone else find social bookmarking a pain?. I know I do. This blogging automation software risks sending earthquakes through the blogging/affiliate world for some time and could save a lot of time in the long run. Check it out Firepow Blogging Software here.

I’m been wondering for a while if any of these keyword spy tool are any good and whether they produce accurate results. Perhaps one way to check is to “spy” on your own website. I can see them working better for paid search rather than organic search.
Keyword Spy will then tell you what keywords your competition are bidding on (you enter the URL of your competitor). Obviously its not going to be 100% accurate but will give you a prett ygood idea of what keywords they have optimised for! |

I’ve been want to run another operating system side by side for some time. This is done with a “VM.” Quite simply Windows is “fooled” into running as Guest Operating system on Mac OS X.
I love booting up my Mac and working in the Mac OS environment. Then I like to launch a Windows application without having to reboot. It sounds weird I know, but that’s the world of “virtualization” I suppose.

A test not only of raw performance but also how long to perform certain tasks and applications.
MacTech Magazine published a very comprehensive performance and productivity benchmark comparing Parallels Desktop for Mac (build 5160, which is now out of date), Boot Camp, and VMware Fusion 1.0 (build 51348, which is not the current in-production build). |

A success for TWS barring a High Court Appeal and a success it would seem for the lawyer Jim Davies who is a candidate Board Elections.
MySpace stripped of myspace.co.uk domain victory |
Secondly, the panel considered the crucial (and more broadly relevant) question of how much control TWS had over what appeared on the parking site. It accepted that TWS had not interfered with the content of myspace.co.uk, including when ads relating to social networking began to appear. Rather, they had been generated and updated by Sedo’s software, so it was natural that MySpace’s rapid rise be reflected. |

Nominet the UK registrar appeals to members to vote
UK net registry battles coup d’etat |
Updated Nominet, the not-for-profit registry for .co.uk web addresses, is facing an attempted coup by a group of members who want to force its bosses to hand back millions of pounds in surplus fees. |
The company took the rearguard step on Monday of writing to all its 3,000 members encouraging them to turn out to vote in ongoing elections for two non-executive board members. The official communication (pdf) goes as far as campaigning against the three would-be usurpers: Darren Brown, Jim Davies, and Robert Fox. |
